Create Meaningful Worship Experiences with Children
Are you passionate about making worship more engaging, meaningful, and welcoming with children?
Do you want to create a space where children both participate in worship and grow in their faith?
If so, the Making Meaning Together (MMT) Initiative is an opportunity you won’t want to miss!
Children’s voices, prayers, and presence enrich our worship communities in profound ways.
As a church leader, pastor, or layperson, through the MMT initiative, you will have the opportunity to create spaces
where children experience God's guiding presence that informs and shapes their faith and leads them to action.
Why Participate
What Participation Involves
Through the MMT initiative, your church will:
Listen to children’s feedback on worship through interviews or focus groups, and honor their perspectives to foster creativity and engagement.
Develop leaders through training and cohorts to design intergenerational worship that includes children.
Use seed funding to create projects that prioritize children’s participation and leadership in worship.
MMT, an initiative of the Rio Texas and Michigan Conferences, equips churches to nurture children in worship and prayer. This grant-funded program helps churches create worship spaces where children are valued and engaged.
Read more here: Rio Texas press release, Michigan press release.
The MMT initiative is led by Rev. Kathy Pittenger and Rev. Dr. Tanya Campen, experienced leaders dedicated to vibrant, child-centered worship.
We’re excited to partner with churches like yours that are eager to make a lasting impact on integrating children into corporate worship.
Whether you’re already taking steps to engage children in worship or just beginning to explore the possibilities, MMT provides the resources and support you need to make worship a more inclusive and meaningful experience for all.
